“We saw Avonnex at the pharmacy show in 2022 and we were looking to see all the pharmacy automation options available for our new branch. Our idea was to future-proof the pharmacy for the next 10+ years and ensure rapid growth and turnover by taking advantage of all the new technology available.

After looking at other original pack dispensing robots, we decided to partner with the solution from Avonnex.

Amrik with his detailed explanation and comprehensive knowledge of dispensing robots convinced us that this was the right and obvious choice for us. After the initial discussion, we visited the Avonnex team at their showroom where we found it very helpful to ask any remaining questions, we had about dispensing robots as well as see the SINTESI robot working, and test drive the features that are only available with the SINTESI, features that have proved to be of great benefit in our workflow.

We’ve seen real-life advantages that having the SINTESI dispensing robot can bring. We have two branches doing roughly the same number of items. In the branch without a dispensing robot, staff are constantly busy and chasing their tails to keep up with the workload. In comparison to the branch with the SINTESI dispensing robot, I am leaner with staff numbers, and I have found that I can use less experienced staff to complete the same workload. In addition, we have the ability still to do more in the new branch with the robot, both in terms of the number of items and services. I have already started to do some of the MDS work from the other branch here and I’m also looking to use this as a hub for the other branch.

One of my favourite things is the automatic loader on the SINTESI- it releases so much time for staff to do other things and managing our stock a lot better even though I feel we haven’t fully utilised all the features with reports on the SINTESI.

With regards to support provided by Avonnex post installation, I can only say it’s 5 stars! Anytime we need any help there is always someone there to help even if it’s a simple user error.

All I can say is that having the SINTESI dispensing robot is the way forward for all pharmacies. The efficiency gained is immense and has enabled us to deliver more services. The pharmacy refit and robot installation have gone well. We have incorporated the latest technology as the dispensing robot was so effectively designed in plans to save space.

We have ended up with a beautiful, efficient pharmacy truly fit for the future.”

“No more picking errors, we had picking errors like mixing tablets with capsules. But now robot dispenses exactly what we ask for.

Patients do not need to wait to see if we have something in stock for their prescription- from the robot we can tell straight away, saving patients time. Pharmacy is now a lot tidier as everything is in the robot. No more hunting and walking around looking for stock, it all just comes to us.

Stocking is a big plus as we saved so much time, now when deliveries come in, we don’t have to sort it out and walk around putting stock on shelves. We simply throw it into the loader and get on with other more productive activities and the loader does the work.  

With expiry date checking before a dispensing robot, one person would spend the whole day date checking all the stock every 3 months. Now with the SINTESI it just takes minutes to check what items are expiring and on what date.

Support is very good and gives us a quick response. When we contact the support team, they resolve questions and issues in minutes. Compared to other companies we have to deal with for our IT issues, Avonnex are faster and more knowledgeable.”
